This is a remote control project which uses bluetooth. Any bluetooth enabled mobile can be used for this purpose with suitable application on it. You can use any bluetooth modules that is available in the market which has serial input/output option. I have made my own module using LMX9838 which i purchased from DIGIKEY.

Ofcourse LMX9838 is hard to solder
Cool

I have made a application in my HTC P3400i (PPC) which works very nicely. Soon i will be posting a sis application to use on nokia mobile phones. The attached application will work on most of the PPC models.

If you need more details on LMX9838 Bluetooth module or any queries in the project reply to this thread and am glad to answer.
Please dont hesitate to ask anything. Your feedback is welcomed

Hello!

Very nice application. I also intend to make something similar to you, but I don't know very well to make for PDA's (with windows mobile) the programs. I think that LMX it's hard to buy.

Another bluetooth module is BTM-222 (has maximum range at 100 meters)

Hi xatax,

LMX is easily available through digikey. BTM series seems to be cheaper...

Programming for a PPC is easy only.. Ofcourse this is my first PPC application.

Hello xatax,

I will make a small tutorial to make application for both windows mobile and symbian mobile. Meanwhile if you have experience in VB then look at this site www.nsbasic.com. They have basic compiler for symbian os and windows mobiles. apart from these you can use python for developing applications in symbian platforms.

I will mail you the source code.

CW

Hi Spiderman,

The controller which i used is AT89S52 but 89C52 will also work. You can also use a lower pin count version like 89C2051 with a little code alteration.
